ACADEMIC YEAR 2024/2025
The Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the STU in Bratislava, pursuant to Act No. 131/2002 on universities (hereinafter referred to as Act on Universities), announces the admission procedure for Master studies.
The basic condition for the admission to Master studies at the university is, according to the Act on Universities, the completion of the study program of the first degree (Bachelor studies).
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the STU is opening a full-time form of Master studies in the academic year 2023/2024.
An external form of studies is not opening in the academic year 2024/2025.

- 40€ - studies in the Slovak language
- 80€ - studies in the English language

METHOD OF SUBMITTING THE APPLICATION
It is possible to apply for the study programme
via an electronic application without a guaranteed electronic signature using the STU academic information system (AIS)
- Access to the electronic application system
- Instructions for filling in the e-application form - 2024 -in pdf (as an aid)
- Remember your E-APPLICATION credentials (applicants from other universities outside the STU), you will need them when enrolling for studies.
- Applicants for Master studies shall indicate in their e-application no more than three study programmes they wish to apply for (1st — main, 2nd and 3rd - alternative). The procedure for selecting alternative programmes is described in the “Procedure for completing the e-application”.
- The binding application has the status of “SUBMITTED E-APPLICATION”.
- Incomplete applications will be removed from the admission procedure!
- It is not necessary to attach a medical certificate to the application.
SCHOLARSHIP
Students can be awarded a one-time motivational scholarship in selected fields of study, a motivational scholarship for excellent performance of study duties or a motivational scholarship for extraordinary results. The conditions for approving and granting scholarships are regulated by the STU Scholarship Code
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
- All applicants will be included in the admission procedure for the 1st year of their studies of accredited Master study programmes in the full-time form of studies. No entrance exam for Master degree studies will be held.
- If a study programme does not open, the applicant's application will be moved to the study programme which the applicant indicated as their second choice.
- If the number of candidates meeting the conditions for admission to a study programme exceeds the number of applicants that the faculty plans to admit to study the relevant study programme, the criterion for admission is the study average achieved at the Bachelor degree level. Applicants exceeding the candidate quota set by the faculty to study the relevant study programme of the faculty will be transferred to the study programmewhich they indicated as their second choice.
RESULTS OF THE ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The decision on the admission or rejection of a candidate with justification shall be delivered to the applicant in writing to the contact address indicated in the application.
