Academic year is divided into two semesters: winter semester and summer semester.
Teaching consists of a minimum 12 weeks in each semester. 
Examination period consists of a minimum 4 weeks in each semester.
Holidays are 51 days (working days).
Rector´s holiday: 1 day.

Recognition of documents  veryfying a complete secondary education or diplomas of higher education


A./  Recognition of documents  veryfying a complete secondary education
Each applicant interested in Bachelor study programme at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava must submit a recognized formal qualification issued by a foreign secondary school or high school.
For that purpose he/she is required to follow the procedure of the Slovak Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.

The applicant is required to provide this document to International Relationsˇ Office of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering STU before the beginning of his/her study in the academic year 2016/17 as it is considered as part of admission process.

B./ Recognition of diplomas of higher education 
Applicants who are Bachelor degree holders in similar study programme issued abroad interested in Master degree study programme at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineereing STU are required to follow instructions on university website:

The fee for academic year 2016/17 according to Rector´s Directive No. 9/2015-SR is 40 Euro.
The applicant is required to provide this document to International Relations Office of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering STU before the beginning of his/her study in the academic year 2016/17 as it is considered as part of admission process.
